"Before the interview even gets started, Seattle Symphony director Ludovic Morlot has a question: Why does The Seattle Times, like some other newspapers, group its classical-music coverage with its dance, theater and other fine-arts coverage? Shouldn't it be in with the jazz, rock, folk and hip-hop?

After all, it is music."

As a young cellist, Oliver Aldort has already gained much attention. From his website: www.oliveraldort.com

"Oliver won the 2007 Music Teachers National Association competition as well as the Seattle Young Artists Music Festival competition in 2008 and 2010. He has appeared in Carnegie Hall as a member of the New York String Orchestra under Jaime Laredo, and as soloist and chamber musician at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and the National Arts Centre under Pinchas Zukerman. He has also played solo and chamber recitals at the Miami International Piano Festival, both in their main programming and as part of the "Prodigies and Masters of Tomorrow" series.

He was one of five young musicians from around the world chosen for the BBC Channel 4 program The World's Greatest Musical Prodigies and has been featured on CBC Radio, Komo TV and National Public Radio's From the Top."

This is a section from an article that appears online at the Huffington Post, click here to read more. Little known fact: Reggie started violin lessons at age five.

People tend to remember the first time they see Reggie Watts perform. His onstage persona is so uniquely his, so off-putting and hilarious and different all at once, that even if you're not quite sure what you saw, you'll probably be telling your friends about it the next day. "You have to see this guy," you'll say. "He delivered this monologue as a British professor and then launched into a gibberish R&B/hip hop hybrid song about pancakes."

But most impressive, perhaps, is that Watts has managed to forge a lasting career for himself doing whatever he wants, however he wants to do it -- a living example of that old mantra: Do what you love. Everything else will work itself out.

Armed with a looping pedal and a malleable, soulful baritone, Watts has become a favorite of fans and other comedians alike, and he's done it through a combination of international festivals, TV appearances, absurdist comedy shows, improv, Off-Off-Broadway theater, and viral videos.

Shortly after his opening slot on Conan O'Brien's national tour last Spring,..
